The Bride of Christ Part 3

“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;

I have called you by name, you are mine.” Isaiah 43:1

This is another passage of scripture where God uses the language of a loving and faithful bridegroom.

With Jesus as our bride-groom we have no need to fear. Later on in this chapter, God tells us why He paid the ransom for us,

“Because you are precious in my eyes, and honoured, and I love you.” V4.

He has not bought us to be a slave, or even a servant, He has redeemed us to be His precious, honoured and beloved bride!

Satan had us bound in sin, fear, pride and unbelief, but Jesus paid the ransom to set us free. Jesus calls out to all who are willing to hear Him and accept His offer of love and forgiveness

He calls us by name. Think about that for a moment and let the full meaning sweep over you. Jesus doesn’t call the masses; He calls the individual. He is so intimately aware of each of us that He calls us by name. And when we respond to His call He declares: “You Are Mine”.

The world may hate you, but You Are Mine!

Your colleagues may laugh at you, but You Are Mine!

Friends may turn against you, but You Are Mine!

Even closest family members may reject you, but You Are Mine!

In Romans 8:38, Paul assure us that, “neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus.”

Why?

Because, You Are Mine!
